For almost 12 months we’ve been hard at work planning the sold-out Lead Dev New York 2020 and are excited about the programme we’ve developed for our community.
We have also been monitoring the current COVID-19 outbreak and making contingency plans to ensure the safety of our attendees.
Sadly the virus has now reached New York. Whilst we have every confidence in the resilience of the city and its people, increasingly it feels clear that bringing over 800 people together from across the world is not the responsible course of action.
Given the uncertainty of how the situation will develop in the weeks ahead, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone the conference to August 11 & 12 this year.
We believe this will give our community the best chance to experience a safe and enjoyable conference.

The Lead Dev New York conference is postponed to August 11 & 12, 2020. The conference venue remains the same: Metropolitan Pavilion.
We’ve contacted all ticket holders and the people who placed the order. We’ll automatically transfer your ticket to the new date, but if this doesn’t work for you we can offer you the following options:

Yes, it’s possible to repurchase your ticket. Please email us and include your ticket reference number and we can process the request as soon as possible.
The 2020 conference is still fully sold out, so the best option is to join the waiting list and we'll let you know as soon as a ticket becomes available.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to help with the travel and accommodation costs that are affected by the conference dates move. The best option would be to see if the flight/hotel providers are open to rescheduling the dates as well. Alternatively, you could recover costs via your travel insurance.
Yes, we are moving all of the April workshops to August as well. The exact dates will be announced soon. If you can’t attend the new date, you can transfer tickets to your friend or colleague, or transfer to another workshop. All standard ticket terms and conditions will apply to the new date.
As the COVID-19 situation unfolds we are following the advice of relevant national governments and local health authorities. Other 2020 Lead Dev conferences (London and San Francisco) are currently proceeding as planned with additional safety precautions and our senior team and board are meeting daily to appraise the situation. If anything changes, the attendees will be contacted.
